  • What is the structure of the course?
    • First year
      • August: Onsite fundamentals coursework

  • Who can apply?
    • Any Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 2.50 GPA. If students have not graduated in art fields or psychology, they must have at least 1 year of practical experience.
  • If I do not have any clinical or art fields experience, can I apply to this programme?
    • Yes, we can discuss your application during the interview process.
  • How many intakes does the course have?
    • We accept applications once a year, between February – May. We expect 20 students per intake.
  • How much is the application fee?
    • Application fee is 2,000 THB. It is not refundable and students are responsible for the transferral fee.

  • How much does it cost to complete this MA?
    • Tuition fee + administration fee is THB 150,000/semester for Thai students and THB 207,000 for international students.

  • Can I withdraw from the programme after accepting the offer? Will there be financial consequences?
    • All fees are non-refundable.
  •  Are there any prerequisites for the course?
    • If you meet all application requirements, then there are no other prerequisites.
  • How are the courses conducted?
    • Most lectures and seminars will take place online via Zoom or MS Teams.
  • Are there any subsidy/scholarships available for the Expressive Arts Therapy?
    • Chulalongkorn University offers various scholarships to Thai and international students. Programme staff can help connect you with relevant persons for further information
  • If I am an international applicant who wishes to pursue this programme, other than the course fees, what other costs should I take into consideration?
    • Field trips requiring in-person attendance will require your own organisation of travel and accommodation
    • Presenting your thesis or independent study will be held in Bangkok, to which you will be responsible for all travel related expenses.

  • It is stated on your website that ‘For applicants whose mother tongue is not English, a good IELTS score of at least 4.0 is required.’ is listed as one of the admission criteria. What should I provide if my mother tongue is not English, but I have graduated from an institution that uses English as the medium of instruction?
    • If you have graduated from an English programme within the last two years, you do not need to submit an IELTS score.

  • If I have been successfully matriculated, but I have to defer my programme due to unforeseen circumstances, can I defer my programme?
    If yes, how long can I defer? Will there be any additional fees incurred?
    • Program deferment is possible upon receipt of required documents that substantiates request. A fee will be charged for the period of deferment to ensure enrolment position in the course.
